ROB'S PROJECTS:

MR KITE
Mr Kite is a jazz-oriented group that plays the music of the Beatles in fresh, new ways.
The instrumentation is flute, tenor saxophone, electric piano, bass, and drums which adds
to the uniqueness of the group's concept and sound. The group's core members are Michel
Gentile(flute), Jim Whitney(bass), and Rob Garcia(drums). The other chairs are often played
by Bill McHenry(tenor sax) and Gary Versace (el piano). Each member is an active jazz musician
in New York and have played with many artists of note. Their individual bios are available upon
request.
A great song is one that can endure through different "treatments" of it's basic components.
The Beatles repertoire is loaded with these great tunes. Mr Kite evolved out of the members
love for the Beatles, jazz, and playing music together. This band has been playing clubs and
warming audiences in New York for the past 3 years.
